ABOUT REIKI WITH KIM
Q: Is distant Reiki as effective as in-person Reiki?
One of the many perks of Reiki energy healing, is that each individual can choose which type of experience is best for them; either in-person Reiki or distant Reiki. Either type of Reiki experience is able to provide the individual with their preferred sacred healing space.
Through personal experience, Kim concludes that distant Reiki is as effective as in-person Reiki. Distance Reiki is Kim's preferred way of giving and receiving Reiki treatments. In fact, Kim commits her whole Reiki practice to delivering online distant Reiki treatments via Zoom. Offering Reiki in this way is an effective method for her and her clients plus it offers a live face-to-face experience.

Reiki energy healing is effective no matter how distant the sender and receiver are in the world. Life force energy knows no bounds of time or space and therefore people don't have to be in the same physical room for Reiki to work and be effective.

In-Person Reiki Session: During an in-person Reiki treatment, Reiki is administered by the Reiki practitioner lightly placing their hands on the client's body or by hovering their hands over the client's body. Of course the client is able to request to receive a hands-on or hands-off experience. An in-person Reiki session may appeal to the client wanting to have a physical in-person interaction with the Reiki practitioner.
Distant Reiki Session: During a distant Reiki treatment, Reiki can be administered by the Reiki practitioner using a surrogate to represent the client's body; or it is also common for distant Reiki to be sent to the client through communicating specific intentions of who, when, and where the Reiki is being sent. A distant Reiki session may be ideal for the client who is immunocompromised, homebound, or bedridden; experiences social anxiety, prefers not to be touched, or is a highly sensitive person (HSP). Distant Reiki may also be an ideal option for a premature infant, a woman on pregnancy bed rest, a special needs individual, or for an individual receiving end-of-life-care or hospice care.

If possible, Kim encourages you to give both types of Reiki experiences a try to see which best supports your energetic needs and personal preferences.
